What is Humble Money?

If you've found yourself on this site you're probably thinking, "what is humble money?" Well it's two things actually. First of all, it's a blog run by Landen Lewis. On that blog you'll find bad, southern grammar, and hopefully something you've never seen before: a new mindset on money.

Let's start by saying everything these days is a mind game. I learned this playing baseball. I was told at an early age that good baseball is 90% mental and 20% physical (because to succeed you gave 110%). As I got older I realized that idea applies to a whole lot more than baseball. A while back, an 18 year old named Ricky could tell someone, "my plan in life is to go work at a factory until I'm old and the company will take care of me." I think that strategy is more like 99% physical and 1% mental, not because it didn't work, but because you were working hard, not smart. Today we live in the information age, no longer in the industrial age. If you want to succeed, you have to work smarter, and harder. You can't make the big bucks working your life away, and if you're like me, you refuse to simply "go to college and get a job". Going to college and getting a job is exactly what Ricky said a long time ago, except this time you're paying to do it. Now understand I am going to college, and I will be holding a job afterwards, but that is not the end of my plan. If you want to succeed, you have to change your mindset on money, happiness, and life. I'm no PHD in life so you won't be hearing life lessons here that often. If you need life lessons open up to Genesis 1:1 and don't stop reading until Revelation 22:21. I'm here to talk about money, but not normal money... I'm here to talk about Humble Money. Humble Money is money unlike any other. Humble Money can buy you the same things normal money can, but will get you a lot further in life. With half a million dollars in normal, everyday money I could buy a couple super cars, and a whole lot of McDonald's nuggets, but that wouldn't go very far would it? With the same amount of Humble Money, I could live a happy life, forever. I think it's time I stop going on and on and on and get to the point.

The Point - There is nothing more humble than a servant. A servant is much like a slave, but the servant is free to walk away. However, the servant stays and chooses to work. Humble money is much like that. Someone with Humble Money chooses to let their money work for them. Their money is no longer their slave, but their servant. We've all heard the phrase, "Let your money work for you". This is the true definition of Humble Money: money that works for you. When you work hard, you are working for your money. When your Humble Money works for you, you are working smart.
